In a country that wastes billions of pounds of food each year, it’s almost shocking that anyone in America goes hungry. Yet every day, there are millions of children and adults who do not get the meals they need to thrive. 1 in 6 people in America face hunger. The USDA defines “food insecurity” as the lack of access, at times, to enough food for all household members.

The 12:00 pm project is aimed at bringing awareness to food insecurity in America. This initiative will support the homeless and hungry by partnering with various local restaurants to provide lunch at 12 noon once a month.

On Friday, August 18, 2018  the founders of Signature Collective  and volunteers of  Signature Collective hit the streets of Oakland to deliverer lunch to various homeless encampments in Oakland California. Sponsored by NativeJuiceCo -a restaurant that creates curated breakfasts, lunches, and beverages that are primarily plant-based and farmers’-market-sourced.

The empathy deficit is a serious issue that continues to move us further away from our shared humanity. It’s time we all figured out what our human purpose is: What is our duty to replenish this earth we live in? How are we going to make it better so we can leave it better? We are exactly who we been waiting for. We collectively have the power to manifest our greatest desires as a human race.”

Signature collective pledges to focus on Food Insecurity by partnering with local restaurants around the nation to deliver nutritious lunch to the less fortunate, specifically those living in street-side communities.”
